THAI YOGA MASSAGE
What is Thai Massage?
Thai yoga massage is an ancient healing art whose popularity in the West is growing rapidly. Sometimes referred to as “lazy man’s yoga”, it combines acupressure work with applied yoga stretches to rebalance energy and help the body become more flexible and relaxed.
Unlike other forms of massage, Thai yoga massage takes place with the recipient fully clothed on a futon on the floor. It is an holistic and truly "full-body" treatment, from back to front, side to side, top of the head to the tips of the fingers and toes.
What should I expect from a treatment?
A full massage takes around 2 hours. You will start lying on your back, and at different stages during the treatment you will be asked to move on to your side or front, or to sit.
By the end of the treatment, you are likely to feel both relaxed and energised, but actually the effects of the massage could well last up to 4-5 days while toxins leave your body, the energetic balancing takes place and your muscles and joints respond to the workout they’ve had.
