Nutrition
Our bodies are amazing, intricate, systems. The foods we eat provide the fuel to power each and every cell within our bodies, and the raw material structural material for our bones, ligaments and tissues.
Our brains control the hundreds of muscles that keep us upright and allow us to perform the most intricate movements, that pump blood though our systems, that help us breathe and move food through our digestive tract.
Hormones control and regulate many systems through chemical messages, regulating temperature, metabolism, sleep, the menstrual cycle.
Protective layers around our body, our intestines, our blood vessels, keep pathogens at bay while allowing nutrients through.
Billions of microbes in our intestines, deriving energy from the fibre we cannot digest ourselves, help regulate mood, immunity and much more.

If these systems become unbalanced, health conditions may start to emerge which are difficult to treat with modern medical approaches. As a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist I can help you find the underlying cause(s) of these imbalances, and guide you to make adjustments to nutrition and lifestyle to recover that balance and let the body heal itself.
Nutritional supplements and herbs may also be recommended to hasten the process or help resolve specific issues. If needed, diagnostic tests (e.g. for food intolerances) can be arranged.
Services
Nutritional therapy is always individually tailored to the person, and can be quite in-depth. Before our first meeting, I will ask you to fill in a questionnaire, which we can discuss in more detail during a consultation of up to 90 minutes.
Following this, a written summary of what we discussed with recommendations, which we can refine and build on in follow-up sessions according to the package. Ongoing support is offered for the duration of packages, and further consultations can be arranged if needed. I will follow up by email 4-6 weeks after the last session.
